Smaller YMCA Network (Under $4M)
Network Sponsor: American City Bureau, Inc.Council Liaison: Angie Lassley, YMCA of Salina Kansas, alassley@salinaymca.org
Coordinator: Paul Andresen, NAYDO Alumni & Retiree Team, pdandresen@gmail.com
This network is for independent associations with budgets size of <$4M (branches and centers with budgets of that size may attend, but the Operations Network would probably be a better fit). Not sure how all of this information at NAYDO can possibly apply to you? Make plans for getting the most out of your conference experience by connecting with other staff who understand how you operate when you have no development department and are "doing it all."
Network Hot Topics Power Hour
Tuesday, April 13 - Round B
4:15-5:15 pm Central
Get acquainted with other staff from smaller YMCAs, and learn more about this network. After a short introduction by the Smaller Y Network leaders and sponsor American City Bureau, Inc., attendees will be divided into groups for the topic they signed up for in advance:
#18-Grant Writing for Smaller Ys - Shane Nelson
#19-Easy Ideas to Implement for Gaining New Members or Creating New Programs - John Blomstedt
#20-Smaller Ys Annual Campaigns on a Shoestring Budget - Alyssa Matthews
Philanthropy Forum for Smaller Ys
Thursday, April 15
4:15-5:15 pm Central
How does all this work in a small Y? NAYDO Council Member Angie Lassley will facilitate this session where attendees can share what they learned, brainstorm how to implement it back home without the benefit of a development team, and determine at least one action step to focus on. Time will be allotted to discuss ways NAYDO can become more helpful to Small Ys and ways networking started at the conference can continue year round.

SMY Designation on Workshops
Presenters were asked to indicate if their content is applicable to Small and Mid-Size YMCAs often without development staff. Look for SMY in the list of target audiences.
