Meow Wolf Convergence Station & Raices

An immersive art experience, Meow Wolf at Convergence Station is four floors of architecture, sculpture, music, video and virtual reality. This third permanent installation by Santa Fe artists is a journey of discovery into a surreal, science-fictional epic. After you’ve wowed your senses at Meow Wolf, cross the street over to Râices (meaning roots), a Latino owned and operated brewpub where you will find high quality craft beer, community and culture, and local food trucks offering a delicious meal. Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater Tour   

Don’t leave Colorado without visiting one of its noteworthy landmarks!

The Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater is carved from towering red rock monuments and is one of the world's most renowned concert venues. (Refresher – it’s where U2 filmed Under a Blood Red Sky 35+ years ago!) Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and about 45 minutes from the Gaylord and Denver International Airport, visitors can enjoy the free Performers Hall of Fame museum, surrounding park's hiking trails that weave in, around and over the colorful red rocks and tour of the underground network of tunnels!

Admission is free; if you would like to share the cost of transportation with other attendees in a ride-share vehicle, indicate your interest on the conference registration form by January 31.


 

Highlights Near the Gaylord Rockies Resort. All are accessible via ride share.

  • Stanley Marketplace. This former abandoned airplane manufacturing facility has turned into a gigantic food hall and urban marketplace, a celebration of independently owned Colorado businesses and a community gathering place. Getting there: just 20 minutes from the Gaylord and Denver International Airport via Lyft or Uber.
     
  • Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. The former Lowery Air Force Base is, today, a museum displaying iconic aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts, military uniforms and much more.
     
  • Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge. This is a hidden gem is a fantastic place to view wildlife (bison, raptors, coyotes, prairie dogs and more), from the warmth and comfort of your own vehicle.

Colorado State Capitol Tour

The Colorado State Capitol, modeled after the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., is a stunning spectacle embellished with stained glass depicting events and people inherent to Colorado, coupled with gorgeous Colorado white granite, rose onyx and yule marble. To see if you've got what it takes to adjust to the altitude, climb the 99-step spiral staircase to an open-air deck affording jaw-dropping views of the city skyline and Rocky Mountains. The Corinthian-styled building, famed for its gold-plated dome rising 272 feet above the ground, offers temporary exhibits, visitor galleries and complimentary tours, Monday through Friday.

 

Brown Palace Hotel & Spa

A Forbes Four Star, AAA Four Diamond luxury landmark located in the heart of downtown Denver. The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa is a charter member of National Trust Historic Hotels of America. The hotel opened its doors on August 12, 1892, and hasn't closed them for a single moment since. The Brown Palace remains one of the city's crown jewels today, with its stunning stained glass atrium lobby, extravagant suites and extraordinary dining venues. The hotel's original artesian spring well is located 720 feet beneath the lobby floor and still provides water to every faucet in the hotel. Historical tours are available.
